The Alpha 3 Way Motor Cartridge is the Diverter Valve, which is the directional water device that only appears in combi boilers. It enables hot water to be directed to the heating system (i.e. radiators) or to the domestic hot water system (i.e. taps or showers). This feature is within a combi boiler.
