From 2022 to 2023, Houzz collected findings from a dedicated survey that included 419 homeowners in the UK. Providing a list of percentages, the results reflected the proportion of homeowners who have updated or were updating their bathroom as part of a planned renovation during this time period.

During 2022 to 2023:

91% of homeowners upgraded their basins as a major feature of their bathroom, with 90% upgrading their wall finishings

85% of homeowners added a new ventilation fan system to their bathroom

35% of homeowners opted for a contemporary bathroom style, and 33% chose a modern style

29% of homeowners chose a shower over bath set-up

78% of homeowners added a rain/waterfall shower head feature

35% of homeowners chose an alcove bath (bordered by three walls) with 34% selecting a freestanding flat bottom bath

43% of homeowners looked for space for two as their primary bath feature

63% of homeowners went for a double-flush toilet type

28% of homeowners sought out bidet functionality in their toilet choice with 27% looking to automatic/hands-free flushing
